At a glance

A plain-language summary. The full document below is what applies.

  • The deal in one line

You get an AI public-speaking coach. In return, you use it fairly, keep your account secure, and own everything you upload.

  • AI feedback is guidance

Scores and suggestions help you practise. They are not professional evaluation, clinical assessment, or formal grading. Treat them as a coach, not a judge.

  • Your videos stay yours

You own your content. We only get the licence needed to analyse it and show you results. Using it to train our AI needs your separate opt-in.

  • Subscriptions renew

Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime; it takes effect at the end of the billing cycle. Price rises get 30 days' notice.

  • Age 13+

You need to be at least 13. School programmes handle younger or additional consents through the institution.

  • Singapore law

These Terms are governed by Singapore law, and Singapore courts handle disputes.

Welcome to pitchMe. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our websites and sub-domains (collectively, the "Site") and all related services, tools, applications, features, content, and technology we provide, including premium subscriptions (collectively, the "Services"). These Terms are a legal agreement between you and PITCHME Pte. Ltd. ("pitchMe", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by them; if you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Using pitchMe for an organisation? If you access the Services on behalf of a school, company, or other organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and "you" means both you and the organisation.

1. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms. For material changes, meaning anything affecting pricing, your content rights, subscriptions, or legal obligations, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email or in-app notification, update the "Last updated" date, and post the revised Terms here. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Services before that date. Non-material changes (clarifications, formatting, contact details) may be made without prior notice.

Where a change involves using your personal data for a new purpose, we will ask for your consent first. See our Privacy Policy.

2. Who may use pitchMe

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. By using them, you confirm you meet this requirement. We do not offer individual accounts to children under 13.

Users aged 13 to 17

If you are under 18, we encourage you to review these Terms with a parent or guardian, and where the law of your jurisdiction requires parental consent for any part of the Services, that consent is required. Certain optional programmes (such as contributing recordings to AI model training) carry their own, stricter consent rules. See our Privacy Policy, section 5.

Institutional accounts

If you use pitchMe through a school or organisation, the institution is responsible for administering its accounts and for obtaining any consents required on its side. This includes parental or guardian consent where the students' age or local law requires it. Consult your institution's policies on data collection and use alongside ours.

3. Accounts and responsibility

You may need an account for certain features. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information
  • Keep your login credentials confidential
  • Take responsibility for activity under your account
  • Tell us immediately about any unauthorised access or security breach

pitchMe is not liable for loss caused by unauthorised use of your account, except where caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.

Institutional account administration

Where an institution creates and manages accounts for its members, the institution assumes responsibility for account administration, content uploaded by its authorised users, and ensuring appropriate consents have been obtained. pitchMe is not liable for actions taken by institutional administrators or end-users within such accounts.

4. What the Services are (and aren't)

pitchMe provides AI-powered public-speaking evaluation and training tools. You upload or record presentation videos, which are analysed for qualities such as posture, voice, clarity, eye contact, and delivery. Feedback is generated automatically by AI and, where applicable, by educators.

Important: AI feedback is educational guidance

The Services exist for educational and feedback purposes only. AI-generated feedback is suggestive guidance to help you improve. It is not a substitute for:

  • Professional speech therapy or clinical assessment
  • Formal academic grading or evaluation
  • Medical, psychological, or diagnostic services
  • Authoritative judgment of your communication abilities

AI can be wrong. Interpret feedback as constructive suggestion, use your own judgment, and seek professional advice where appropriate.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time for operational, technical, or business reasons; for material reductions affecting paid features we will give reasonable notice where practicable.

5. Licence and restrictions

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for personal or authorised institutional use, subject to these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Services without our prior written consent
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code or underlying AI models
  • Use the Services to develop, train, or improve competing products or services
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services without our written permission
  • Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, offensive, defamatory, or that infringes others' intellectual property or privacy rights, including recording other people without their permission
  • Disrupt or degrade the Services or other users' experience
  • Scrape or systematically extract content or data from the Services

We may suspend or terminate access immediately for violations of these Terms or conduct we reasonably believe harms other users, our business, or third parties.

6. Subscriptions and payments

Pricing and billing

Subscription fees are stated on our website and charged in advance on a recurring basis (monthly, annually, or as otherwise specified).

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be notified of upcoming renewals and amounts. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method for recurring fees.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancel anytime in your account settings or by emailing privacy@pitchmesg.com; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Refunds are generally not provided for partial billing periods, but we consider requests case-by-case where required by law (including the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act) or where the Services were not provided as agreed.

Price changes

We will notify you of price increases at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance of the new fees; otherwise, cancel before the change applies.

7. Your content and our licence

You retain full ownership of all videos, audio recordings, scripts, and other materials you upload or record via pitchMe ("User Content"). To operate the Services, you grant pitchMe a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:

  • Process and analyse your User Content with our AI tools to generate feedback, metrics, and suggestions
  • Display feedback, scores, and reports to you and, where applicable, to your authorised educators or institution
  • Generate derivative analytics (such as progress reports) for your use or your institution's educational use

This licence exists to run the Services for you; it ends for content you delete, except as described in the Privacy Policy's retention section.

AI model training needs your separate opt-in

We do not use your User Content to train our AI models under these Terms. That use requires your explicit, separate, opt-in consent, requested inside the app (for example, after your first analysis) or available in Settings → Privacy. You can use the Services fully without consenting, and you can withdraw at any time. After withdrawal your content is excluded from future training and removed from training datasets within 30 days. Because presentation videos contain your face and voice, we treat contributed recordings as personal data throughout, with the safeguards described in the Privacy Policy, section 5.

No public disclosure: we will not sell, publicly disclose, or share identifiable User Content with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes without your explicit written consent.

Institutional accounts: if your account is managed by an institution, the licence above also permits sharing your performance data with that institution for educational purposes (such as tracking and curriculum improvement). Refer to your institution's policies for how it uses your data.

8. Intellectual property

All trademarks, logos, source code, platform features, AI models, and proprietary technology underlying the Services belong to pitchMe or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws in Singapore and internationally. No rights are granted beyond those expressly stated in these Terms. You may not use pitchMe's brand assets, imply affiliation or endorsement, or copy any part of the Services or underlying technology without our written consent.

9. Data privacy

Our handling of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: we process personal data in accordance with Singapore's PDPA; we collect, use, and disclose it only for purposes you have been informed of; you may access, correct, and request deletion of your data; you may withdraw specific consents (such as AI model training) at any time; and you may complain to Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) if you believe your data has been mishandled.

10. Third-party services

The Services rely on third-party providers for hosting, storage, authentication, transcription, AI processing, email, and payments, including Google Cloud Platform and Firebase, Google (Gemini models), OpenAI, Deepgram, Zoho ZeptoMail, and our payment processors. These providers process personal data under data-processing terms imposing security, confidentiality, and use-limitation obligations, and where data is transferred outside Singapore we comply with the PDPA's Transfer Limitation Obligation through recognised contractual safeguards.

While we choose and monitor providers with reasonable care, pitchMe is not responsible for failures or breaches arising from third-party services except to the extent we have failed to meet our own obligations under the PDPA.

11. Termination and your data

We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion, with or without notice, including for: violations of these Terms; suspected fraud, abuse, or illegal activity; prolonged inactivity (no login for 24 months); or discontinuation of the Services. Upon termination, your access and licence end immediately.

What happens to your data

  • Account deletion: we delete your personal data and User Content within a reasonable time (typically 30 days, and up to 90 days for backups), except where retention is required by law or for legitimate purposes such as dispute resolution or fraud prevention.
  • Training data: if you had opted in to AI model training, your content is also removed from training datasets within 30 days of deletion (see Privacy Policy, section 5).
  • De-identified data: data that no longer identifies you (such as aggregate statistics) may be retained.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, pitchMe is not liable for: indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages; loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or anticipated savings; service interruptions, delays, or errors in AI-generated feedback; data loss or unauthorised access not caused by our breach of these Terms; or content uploaded by users or actions of institutional administrators.

In any event, pitchMe's total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to pitchMe in the 12 months preceding the claim and (b) S$100.

What this section does not limit

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for (i) death or personal injury caused by negligence, (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, (iii) gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or (iv) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the Unfair Contract Terms Act and statutory consumer protections.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated feedback or performance metrics.

AI-generated feedback is produced by automated systems and is intended as suggestive guidance. It should not be treated as infallible or authoritative. Exercise independent judgment and seek professional advice where appropriate.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless pitchMe and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, contractors, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: your misuse of the Services; your violation of these Terms; your infringement of third-party intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights (including recording people without permission); or content you upload. This obligation applies only to the extent your actions were intentional, negligent, or in breach of these Terms. For minors and institutional accounts, we may seek indemnification from the responsible parent, guardian, or institution.

15. Force majeure

pitchMe is not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, cyberattacks, pandemics, labour disputes, or failures of third-party providers or infrastructure.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. If we expand internationally, we may offer alternative dispute-resolution mechanisms or jurisdiction clauses for users outside Singapore.

17. General

  • Severability: if any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that best reflects its intent.
  • Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any order or subscription terms you accept, are the entire agreement between you and pitchMe regarding the Services and supersede prior agreements on the subject.
  • Assignment: you may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
  • No waiver: our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
  • Notices: we may notify you by email to your registered address or by in-app notice; legal notices to pitchMe should go to privacy@pitchmesg.com or our postal address in section 18.
